$V=IR$ a higher P.D. $\to$ higher current $\therefore R=\frac{V}{I}$

In a series circuit, current is constant.

Series: $R_t=R_1+R_2+\cdots +R_n$ In parallel: $\frac{1}{R_t}=\frac{1}{R_1}+\frac{1}{R_2}\cdots \frac{1}{R_n}$
